Columbia Cottage

As one of the first licensed assisted living communities in Pennsylvania, Columbia Cottage has needed to grow and shift as the market becomes more crowded. They partnered with Scheffey to create a refreshed look that reflected the energy and unique benefits of their brand.

Scheffey initiated the brand refresh by taking a strategic evaluation of the current brand. We used resident feedback, responses from residents’ families, internal surveys, and multiple interviews to call out what makes Columbia Cottage remarkable. After analyzing the information and distilling it into key elements, we provided a path for refreshing the brand strategically and consistently.

Visually, we created a new logo and brand colors that better represented the brand’s personality. This led to updated outdoor signage and advertising. We created new copy and collateral that clearly conveys what makes Columbia Cottage special. We also developed a new website designed to create an emotional connection between the brand and the web visitor. We used our understanding of both the brand and its audience to create an information architecture that would draw visitors into the site, leading them to explore the Cottage closest to them. Updated photography engages visitors and communicates the brand’s personal touch.

After rolling out the new brand and branded materials, Scheffey continues to support Columbia Cottage in maintaining the website and pursuing campaigns to draw new attention to what the unique assisted living communities can offer.
