We’re called to serve.
Posted September 15, 2011
We serve our clients on a daily basis. We seek out business partners who serve our needs well. I've always preferred to follow the servant leader style rather than adopt the Attila the Hun approach. When five o'clock rolls around, it's hard for most of us to turn off the service mode. We should be serving our families, friends, neighbors, communities, and yes, even people we don't even know. "To whom much is given, much also is required." (Luke 12:48) Personally, I have great admiration for people like Bill Gates, Bono, Jimmy Carter, Nelson Mandela and Harriet Tubman. Each was given a gift: money, fame, a caring soul, peaceful patience and freedom. And in every instance, they redeemed those gifts to serve others ... well. As a company and as individuals, we redeem our gifts to serve these great organizations:
Bethesda United Methodist Church
Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Lancaster County
Central Pennsylvania Youth Ministries
Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County
Lancaster Book Challenge
The Lancaster Chamber of Commerce
Lancaster County Community Foundation
Lancaster Foundation for Educational Enrichment
Lancaster General Health Foundation
Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center
